10 steps to successfully raising a dog

How to educate a dog and teach her basic commands? – Each responsible owner asks himself this question. But before you go directly to education and training, you should ask yourself another question: how to explain to the pet that he should obey you and what exactly you are the master of in the house?

The key to any successful upbringing and training is a properly built relationship between the owner and the pet. And if at first glance it seems that there is nothing complicated in this, then in practice dogs often demonstrate impenetrable stubbornness and stubbornly refuse to obey. The fact is that the dog is a pack animal, and it is common for it to look for a leader in society. Some breeds gladly give the palm to a man, but others, naturally endowed with an independent and dominant character, can long test the owner for strength, claiming first place without false modesty.

It is very important to timely identify the position and convey to the dog that it is her who should follow you, and not you after her, otherwise you run the risk of raising a wayward pet that will behave as it pleases and traditionally ignore the commands of family members.

Here are a few rules to help you with this!
If you go somewhere with your dog, always go in the doorway first. Many, including very experienced owners, skip ahead of their pets, thereby making a big mistake. In the worldview of dogs, the leader of the pack always goes first, and everyone else just follows him.

Feed your pet only after eating it yourself. Sometimes it can be difficult: the dog looks at you with hungry eyes, begs for a treat – and how can you have breakfast here safely? However, in nature, the leader always starts to eat first, and if you want to maintain leadership, you will have to learn to ignore the mournful looks and feed your pet only after your meal.

In any games with a dog always remain the winner. Of course, we are talking about rival games. Your pet should always perceive you more strong and smart than he himself, do not give him reason to doubt this.

The owner must always start and end the game with the dog. Do not succumb to the provocations of an energetic pet, play with him in the strictly allotted time for games to accustom him to your routine.

Always be fair with the dog. It only seems that the pets don’t understand us and forgive us all, in fact, the dogs can easily assess whether the reprimand was fair and if the owner overdid the punishment. If, on reflection, the dog finds that you were wrong, your image of a fair leader in her head will be significantly shaken.

No brute force. Of course, any dog has to be punished from time to time, however, believe me, in most cases, exposure to intonation is quite enough, because Pets catch her perfectly. For serious misconduct, the dog can be shaken by the scruff of the neck or symbolically slapped on the nose or pope, however, beating the pet should never be done. With these methods, you can achieve from the dog only retaliatory aggression and fear, but not respect. Consequently, there can be no talk of any successful upbringing in this case.

Raising a dog should be persistent and confident, but always friendly. Take training and education seriously, be consistent, reward your pet for accomplishments and punish your wrongdoings, but always maintain a respectful and friendly attitude towards your four-legged friend. Do not forget that the leader of the article in the understanding of the dog is the one whom she respects and appreciates for strength, nobility and justice.

Teach your dog to execute commands the first time. Focus her attention on training, do not let her get distracted, and approach the classes yourself responsibly.

Always give commands clearly and confidently.

And the last, perhaps the most important thing: love your dog and take care of it, because without the proper attention and approval, even the most gifted and talented pet will not be able to reveal its best qualities.
